"you call this a Johnson, don't you?" the convenience store attendant asked me
as i handed him my signature for coffee and milk.
"what, a Johnson? yes, well no. we call it a John Hancock. your John Hancock," i replied with a grin.
"something to do with the Forefathers, right?"
"yea, he was the first one to sign the Declaration of Independence and i guess it stuck because of that,"
i said smiling.
i smiled because i find comfort in being an American here. like i'm really not so far away because i am America here. that and because your "johnson" is something very different back home.
